Looking for a bud

For anyone with a little extra thyme Friday, June 20, the Wareham Free Library is hosting a Hypertufa workshop where participants can make their own garden planters.

The workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library located at 59 Marion Road. Participants can make one larger or two smaller planters and the plants are not included. There is a fee of $5 per person and it will be collected the day of the program.

The program is for participants who are 12-years-old or older. In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will be rescheduled to Monday, June 23. Space is limited, so registration is necessary. Please register at warehamfreelibrary.org.

Don’t be shy, lighten up

Just wing it and join Plymouth County entomologist Blake Dinius and the Wareham Land Trust on a Firefly Walk on Tuesday, June 21 from 8 to 10 p.m. The walk will take place at Douglas S. Westgate Conservation Area on 29 Papermill Road. 

The program is free, but space is limited. Registration is required. Visit warehamlandtrust.org to register.

Holistic fun for all things psychic

For anyone interested in all things psychic and holistic, the Parkwood Beach Psychic and Craft fundraiser is the place to go.

The event will take place Saturday, June 21 from 12 to 5 p.m. at 23 Datewood Street.

Admission is free and 15-minute psychic readings will be available for $20. The event will also feature tarot cards, reiki, handmade soaps, crafts, raffles and more.

Summer of Love

The people of Wareham and Onset are chord-ially invited to the Onset Bay Association’s Summer of Love Concert series.

This program will be every Wednesday starting June 25 until August 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lilian Gregerman Bandshell at 1 Union Avenue in Onset. Each week, different musicians will play their tunes for guests to enjoy for free.

In case of inclement weather, the concerts have a rain location at the Onset VFW at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road in East Wareham.

Kid friendly dance party

It’s time to get the kids up and moving at the Wareham Free Library with Wareham’s own DJ for kids DJ OOCH for a summer dance party.

The dance party will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at the library located at 59 Marion Road.

No registration is required and the event is free to attend.
