There’s always something to do in Wareham. This week, remember our nation’s veterans and those who have lost their lives due to their homelessness, and attend a Christmas Dinner for seniors, veterans and people in need.

Friday, Dec. 15

Wreaths across Wareham
On the eve of Wreaths Across America Day, celebrated Saturday, Dec. 16, the people of Wareham will meet on Friday, Dec. 15 to lay wreaths in honor of fallen U.S. veterans. To attend, meet on town green, at the intersection of Main Street and Gibbs Avenue, at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.

Feeding those in need
The Multi-Service Center will hold its 9th annual Christmas dinner for seniors, veterans and people in need from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 48 Marion Road. To attend the dinner, or to volunteer, contact 774-365-7459 no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 12.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

Cut a trail
Join the Wareham Land Trust for its December trail day. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., volunteers will trim the newly cut Kora’s Loop of the Red Brook Trail Network, located at 15 Sand Pond Road, Onset. Register at http://warehamlandtrust.org/category/events/.

Remember victims of homelessness
A ceremony and a memorial tree in Besse Park will remember those who have lost their lives due to their state of homelessness. The ceremony will take place at Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 74 High Street, starting at 5:30 p.m.
