Shine bright in Onset
Let it glow at the Onset Bay Association's Illumination night.
The event will be on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Bay View Park and Onset Beach on Onset Avenue.
At 9 p.m., flares will be lit and burn for approximately 30 minutes.
Over 1,500 red flares will illuminate Onset Bay.
Celebrate Labor Day close to home
Join the Dudley Brown VFW at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road in Wareham for a Labor Day celebration Saturday, Aug. 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission is $10 and those attending can break it down with special guests Kim Tavares, Shiquan 'Shireal' Davis and DJ Lady K.
Clam boils and soul food will be available for purchase.

Get ready to win.
Bingo will be held on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. in the Council on Aging, located at 54 Marion Road.
There will be cash prizes. Cards cost $3 each or two for $5.00.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle by the Wareham Historical Society. Raffle tickets are $1 each or eight for $5.

Vroom Vroom!
Go full throttle for food with Damien’s Food Pantry in a 45 mile motorcycle ride through the South Coast.
Riders will take off from Damien’s at 242 Marion Road Sunday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. and take a scenic drive of the area before ending at Redmen Hall, 745 Main Street. To register visit damiensfoodpantry.org.
