Blast from the past
Want to learn about the little village on the water?
The newly-formed Onset Historical Society will be discussing stories of the village's history at their upcoming event. From hot air balloons to vintage stories, the Onset Historical Society co-founders Mark Maxim and
Marie Strawn are gauging public interest in the newly formed group with the event.
The event will be on Sunday Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. at Salerno Hall, 196 Onset Avenue.
The gathering will feature antiques from Onset collected by Maxim and Marie, as well as the Knowlton Family. Maxim obtained items from George Decas' personal collection and will be displaying them at the event.
