The Wareham Police Department will offer an instructional class on how to use Narcan and identify the signs of a drug overdose at the Onset Bay Center, 186 Onset Ave., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 23. 

The class will teach life-saving skills and give information about substance use disorder, treatment and recovery. 

There will also be an explanation of the Police Department’s free PCO program intended to combat the opioid crisis.

Free Narcan and harm reduction kits will be provided.
