A statement from the mother of Domenic Albanese

Mar 1, 2019

To the Editor:

My son is being “held” in jail since Oct. 10 of 2018 on the words of a disgruntled and homeless ex-girlfriend that was asked to leave my home for various reasons. It is absolutely criminal that the police and courts can do this to him in the United States of America.

The Wareham Police have not provided one piece of credible, direct evidence that links my son to any of these “alleged” crimes. The Wareham Police have not even attempted to subpoena the origin of the calls sent to these three fast food chains. Yet, they release statements to the press and inflammatory photos that make it sound like he has already been tried and convicted.

He is innocent until “proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Please remember our fourteenth amendment to the United States Constitution.
