The Wareham Knights of Columbus Council 15280 is hosting their annual hoop shoot competition Sunday, Jan. 12.

The hoop shoot is a free throw competition for kids between the ages of 9 and 14 and the competition is being held at the Gleason Family YMCA located at 33 Charge Pond Road.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the contest begins at 9 a.m.

The contest is divided up into divisions based on age and gender and the winner of each division will move on to the district competition being held Feb. 9 at the YMCA.

The Knights of Columbus have sponsored a national hoop-shoot competition since 1972.
