Shangri-La Memorial Park at 7 Shangri-la Boulevard will have a grant opening on Saturday, May 25 from 12 to 3 p.m.

This will be a potluck event, with hamburgers and hotdogs already provided. Organizers have requested that attendees bring side dishes such as potato salads, pasta salads, chicken wings, meatballs, chips and cupcakes, as well as plastic cutlery, napkins and wet wipes. 

“Let’s celebrate that after six very long and difficult years, we finally have a park and playground to be proud of,” said organizer Carol Malsonson.
