Grace Lighthouse Church entered into the Thanksgiving spirit early, hosting a community dinner the night of Saturday, Nov. 18. 

"It's a special thing," said Pastor David Beguerie. "We call this our signature outreach event of the year."

The church has held the event annually since 2016, and attendance has only grown. Beguerie said the church sat the main dining hall for 90 people, and had 130 to 140 people take their meals to go through a drive-up option. 

The Eagle Club helped with food preparation, and 50 plus volunteers helped serve and run the event, he added. 

The evening wasn't just about food, but also about the discussions that can happen around a table. 

The Church gave out tracts with its message, and members of the church mingled and talked with the people in attendance. 

Amazing conversations happen because of this event, said Beguerie.
