Recent arrests for disturbances, motor vehicle offenses

Police have made many arrests, largely for disturbances and motor vehicle offenses, over the last several weeks.

At 5:15 a.m. on September 5, Wareham Police Detectives arrested a male in Boston as part of a confidential investigation.

Noah C. Bastarache, 36, of Wareham, was arrested by detectives at 6:55 a.m. at his residence on an active warrant.

At 6:10 a.m. on Friday, September 6, Rae Pires, 37, of Tulsa, Oklahoma was arrested by Sergeant Daniel Henderson and Officer Peter Silvia after a motor vehicle stop on Depot Street, for two active warrants.

Joshua Jacobs, 37, of Middleborough, was arrested  at 5:44 p.m. by Officers Nate Aronson and Chris Corner at Walmart for shoplifting.

Richard Nelson Jr., 30, of West Wareham, was arrested by Officers Charles Pillsbury and James White at 9:30 p.m. on September 7 for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Mr. Nelson was placed into custody following a disturbance at The Fan Club on Cranberry Highway.

Shamia Monroe, 43, of Brockton, was arrested at 10 p.m. on September 8 by Detective Dean Decas on Cranberry Highway near Depot Street. She is charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

On September 9 at 10:45 a.m., Jennifer Bradley, 45, of East Wareham, was arrested at Tobey Hospital by Officers Charles Pillsbury and John Iacobucci for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Brodie Ring, 33, of Wareham, was arrested by Officers Lorenzo Grosso and Charles Pillsbury at 5:30 p.m. on September 10 following a disturbance on Main Street. Police say Ring clenched his fists and violently resisted officers’ efforts to place him under arrest.Officers deployed a Taser to subdue him. He is charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Alberto Velasquez, 30, of Onset, was arrested by Officer Matthew Donovan on an active warrant at 3:05 a.m. on September 12. Officer Donovan observed him walking on Division Avenue and placed him in custody.

James Pion, 62, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, was arrested at 4:43 p.m. by Officer Joseph Cardoza for operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The arrest was made following a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway in West Wareham.

Richard Fraser, 48, of East Falmouth, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. after a Wareham Police detective recognized him driving on Cranberry Highway. The detective was aware that Mr. Fraser had no driver’s license, stopped him, and placed him in custody for operating without a license.

Robert Oliveira, 39, of West Wareham, was arrested by Officer Justin Silveira for an active warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Sandwich Road at 12:50 a.m. on September 13.
