First and second from Wareham Elementary School took a deep dive into history as each student put themselves in the shoes of past American leaders for a President's Day celebration Thursday, Feb. 13.
According to First Grade teacher Kathy Harunk, the students began researching a president in December ahead of the President's Day celebration.
The celebration featured a live rendition of the national anthem by a second grader and each kid dressed like the president they researched recited fun and interesting facts about their president.
With the help of the art teacher, the kids also made presidential portraits as a part of the celebration.
