A motorcycle run to take place on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Bebo’s Sports Grill, 270 Onset Avenue, will benefit the family of Nicholas, who passed away due to a rare autoimmune disorder.
Registration will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with kickstands up at 11:11 a.m. The cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger.
A fundraiser will begin at 1 p.m. with entertainment, a buffet and raffles. There will be a $10 donation at the door for non-riders.
The event is sponsored by the Iron Trinity Motorcycle Club.
Nicholas first started showing signs of GPA with vasculitis in February 2024. GPA is a rare autoimmune disorder where the body’s immune system attacks and destroys healthy tissues. Sadly, Nicholas passed away on July 20, leaving his wife and two young children behind: Nick Jr., 21 months old, and Oliver, 1 month old.
All donations raised will go to a 529C college fund for his two children which has already been set up by his family.
