More than 30 coronavirus cases in Wareham

As the coronavirus pandemic worsens, the state is releasing more granular data about cases in each town and at various hospitals. 

As of April 15, a spokesperson for Tobey Hospital reported that there were 8 patients with coronavirus at the hospital, including two in the intensive care unit, one of whom was on a ventilator. An additional eight patients were “under investigation,” one of whom was in the ICU. 

Wareham had 34 cases of coronavirus diagnosed as of April 14. The state will be releasing new town-by-town numbers each Wednesday afternoon. 

Southcoast Health has administered nearly 2,500 tests across the system, 346 of which were positive, 348 of which were pending.

Southcoast has seen 22 coronavirus patients die.

Five of those patients died at Tobey Hospital.
