Meet the candidates at Multi-Service Center

Candidates for Town Election will gather on Friday, April 26 to answer questions, explain their platforms and participate in a candidates night.  

The event will be available to watch in person in Room 320 at the Multi-Service Center, 48 Marion Road. It will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

It will be broadcast on Wareham Community Television. 

The event will feature candidates for Sewer Commission, School Committee and Select Board. 

Former Select Board member Brenda Eckstrom and Planning Board member Sherry Quirk are running for a three year term on the Select Board. 

Former Wareham Courier Editor Sarah Corbitt, former planning department intern Jared Fredrickson, Better Way Primary Care practice manager Russel Kriehn and Onset Cape Verdean Festival Association president Deneen Rose are running for a two year seat on the Select Board. 

Eckstrom will face incumbents Apryl Rossi and Geoffrey Swett for a three-year seat on the School Committee; two seats are available. Eckstrom and incumbent Sandra Slavin are running for a Sewer User Commissioner seat. Incumbent James Giberti is running uncontested for his Non Sewer User Commissioner seat.

Candidates night organizers will select the best reader-submitted questions for moderator and Wareham Week editor Liam Mayo to ask the candidates. Questions should be directed at all candidates in a particular race, and should not be personal attacks.
