WAREHAM – Marguerite M. (Connor) Truex, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family members at Tobey Hospital in Wareham on July 3, 2023 at the age of 88.

She was born in Marlborough, MA on November 30, 1934, daughter of the late Paul and Marguerite (Kennedy) Connor.

She is survived by her daughters, Judith Hoffmann and her husband Jerry of Loxahatchee, FL, Linda Walsh of St. Johnsbury, VT, Karen Meaney and her husband, Richard of East Wareham; her sons, Michael Walsh of Wareham and Timothy Walsh and his wife Tracy of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Grace Ponti, Paul Connor, Robert Connor and Carl Connor.

Peg lived a wonderful life, filled with many friends and family. She kept in contact with Audrey Sullivan in which she cherished her lifelong friendship. Marguerite and her first husband, Whitney Walsh raised their 5 children in Billerica and then Plymouth. Years later, she worked as a Chiropractic Assistant with her husband John at Truex Chiropractic Center in Plymouth for over 20 years.

She loved doll houses and had many hobbies.

She moved to Americana Cove in St. Petersburg, FL in 1993. Here she had family members and many friends. They would golf, bowl, bike and put community events together at the club house. In 2014, she moved to West Wareham to be closer to her family. A year and a half ago, she entered into Sippican Health Care Center in Marion where she made wonderful friends, some being staff members. She loved her puzzles and Friday afternoon Bingo, along with all the activities Sippican had. She loved having lunch at the beach.

Relatives and friends will gather to honor Peg’s life at visiting hours from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
