The Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club Junior Associates, in collaboration with the A.D. Makepeace Company, will host a fishing derby on Tihonet Pond, 150 Tihonet Road, from 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 4.

Prizes and raffles will be awarded at 2 p.m. Breakfast will be served from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., at which time fishers can check in. 

To register online, visit bit.ly/WRGC2023. To register in person, forms are available at Toms Bait at 352 W. Grove St. in Middleboro, Makepeace Farms at 146 Tihonet Road in Wareham and Sullivan Wine and Spirits at 260 Marion Road in Wareham.

Pre-registration will also be available at Box Mill Hall, 150 Tihonet Road on Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration will also be available on the day of the derby.

Registration costs $15 for adults and $5 for children under 13. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. 

All proceeds from the derby will benefit the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club Youth Group.
