Imagine a Day without Water

Oct 7, 2019

The Wareham Fire and Water District, along with elected officials, water utilities, community leaders, educators, and businesses from across the country, is participating in the fifth annual "Imagine a Day Without Water" to raise awareness and educate America about the value of water.

Led by the Value of Water Campaign, the Day Without Water will happen on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Until that date, the Wareham Water District will be posting information about the value of water each day on its Facebook page.

The District is participating to draw attention to the issues the town is facing in providing clean water. The Wareham Water District is investing in a new water purification plant to remove iron and manganese from water, and both the Town Sewer Department and Wareham Fire District are working on multi-year pipe replacement programs.
