Herman L. Christmas, 88, of Onset, died Aug. 9, 2022 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was the husband of Joann (Lopes) Christmas. They were married for 57 years.

He was born in Boston and lived in Onset for most of his life.

Mr. Christmas served in the United States Air Force. He was a Korean War Veteran.

He worked as a security office for Otis Air Force Base for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed fishing, collecting Air Force and police memorabilia. He was a member of the Dudley L. Brown Post 2846 V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife, Joann (Lopes) Christmas; 3 sons, Leroy A. Christmas and his wife, Jamie of Plymouth, Joe-Wayne Christmas and Gordon T. Christmas both of Onset; his siblings, Melvin Balla of CA, Ruby Brown of Sagamore and Marcelle Balla of Portugal; his grandchildren, Nicholas Christmas and Noelle Christmas; a great grandson, Kaden Christmas.

His services will be private. Burial will be at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Arrangements are by Chapman Funerals & Cremations, Wareham.
