Mar 24, 2025
Firefighters put out a house fire on Kimberly Court in East Wareham on March 20, preventing it from spreading beyond a single room, officials said.
The Wareham Fire Department responded to the scene in the early evening with multiple fire engines and a tower truck along with Wareham EMS and police.
Onset Fire Chief Jeff Osswald and Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Haskell were first to arrive. Haskell took command and confirmed that firefighters would need to actively battle the flames.
A fire crew from Engine 5, led by Captain Mickey Bird, entered the home and brought the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
Officials said the fire appears to have been accidental. The cause is under investigation.
