A family-friendly event on Saturday, Aug. 10 will give kids of all ages the chance to explore emergency vehicles and other types of trucks.

The event is hosted by Landscapes by D&J. It will take place at the company’s location at 10 Charge Pond Road from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Families will get to experience a day filled with food, fun, games, raffles and trucks of all kinds.

All proceeds will be donated to Turning Point, a non-profit organization which helps the homeless and the near homeless.

Landscapes by D&J CEO Tiffany Sergi said she first encountered Turning Point when she signed up to contribute to a holiday magic donations drive for the nonprofit around five years ago.

In helping with the drive, “I’ve seen the need that these kids are asking for, these families are asking for,” Sergi said.

Over time, she got more involved in helping Turning Point’s work, first deciding Landscapes by D&J would host a donation drive, then starting the annual Touch-a-Truck event last year.
