An SUV rolled over and burst into flames after colliding with a pickup truck on Route 25 on Tuesday, March 21.

In an email to Wareham Week, State Police said that the driver of the SUV, a 52-year-old Wareham man, was taken to Tobey Hospital “to be evaluated for possible injuries.”

Wareham Fire Chief John Kelley said the man’s injuries “appeared to be minor.”

The driver of the pickup truck was a 40-year-old Marlborough man, State Police said, and his vehicle is owned by a Milford masonry company.

Kelley said that the driver of the pickup truck refused medical treatment at the scene.

The SUV driver, whose name was not released by State Police, was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and speeding.

According to a Wednesday, March 22 Facebook post, the Wareham Fire Department arrived on the scene and quickly put out the car fire.
