David Honkonen, 74, of Middleboro passed away on February 3, 2025 after a long illness.

Born and raised in Wareham, he graduated from Wareham High School in 1968. He was a union bricklayer for 30 yrs but never stopped working after he retired. He was well known in the area for his masonry skills but he also could build or fix just about anything.

David enjoyed boating and fishing in Buzzards Bay and all around New England, quahoging at Little Harbor and road trips to Florida, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine of West Wareham, his daughter Sarah and her husband Joe of Swansea, his son Michael of Daytona Beach, Florida, 4 grandchildren and many close friends.
