Community Cafes are going virtual! Community Cafes — structured small group gatherings that focus on conversations and other activities — hosted by the Wareham Public School's Office of Beyond School Time will be held via Zoom for the foreseeable future. Space is limited, so people interested in participating are asked to RSVP in advance.

On Thursday, Nov. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Community Cafe will feature an art lesson with Mrs. Cynthia Gedraitis. Participants will work on a watercolor painting called “I am…,” according to a flyer for the event. The painting incorporates a list of adjectives that describe the participants, so it is important that everyone fills out the provided “I am” worksheet before the paint night begins.

Community Cafes are designed to bring parents, caregivers and other community members together, building relationships in the school and community and promote and support healthy outcomes for families. To reserve a spot, receive materials and get the Zoom link, RSVP to Beyond School Time secretary Samantha Rizzitano at

There is no cost to attend this cafe thanks to the program’s sponsors. Community Cafes are funded through grants to the Wareham Public Schools. There will be future virtual cafes in December and January.
