Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Thursday, May 11, at 6:30 p.m. to hear Greg Stone, local nature photographer, discuss how to take the best possible photos with a smartphone.  He’ll talk about the concepts and tools that can be used to photograph people, pets, sports, and travel.  While the demonstration will be with an iPhone 14 Pro Max, most of the information provided can be applied to any model iPhone and, in many instances, to phones of any make or model.  Audience members are encouraged to bring their phones so they can try some of Greg’s tips.  The program will be held at the Dartmouth North Branch Library.

Greg Stone is the volunteer staff photographer for the Westport Land Conservation Trust; has taught an eight-week course on the use of the iPhone’s camera for the Second Half; has more than 1,000 Facebook friends and followers, who look for his daily nature posts of scenes in Westport and Dartmouth; and has had three one-man shows exhibiting his work, some of it done with the iPhone.  Greg has led photography workshops for the Westport Land Conservation Trust and Buzzards Bay Coalition and has given Zoom presentations featuring his work for the Westport Art Group and Paskamansett Bird Club.

Mr. Stone’s presentation will be held in the community room at Dartmouth North Branch Library, 211 Cross Road, Dartmouth.  For more information, please e-mail fodl.libraries@gmail.com.
