This fund-raising idea, borrowed from the Acushnet Library, gives a literary twist to the concept of using bricks to recognize donors. Instead, wooden book spines will be available in 5 widths and donation levels.

Reader:   1.25 inch spine 1 line of text; 32 characters    $100
Editor:    1.50 inch spine 1 line of text; 32 characters     $250
Publisher:  2.00 inch spine 2 lines of text; 64 characters; logo     $500
Agent:    2.50 inch spine 2 lines of text; 64 characters; logo        $1,000
Author:    2.75 inch spine 2 lines of text; 64 characters; logo      $2,000

Note that spaces and punctuation count as characters.

Donation forms are available at the libraries and on the website. Completed forms may be sent to Southworth Library, 732 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth MA, 02748, to the attention of Lynne Antunes, Director of Libraries.
