William J. McCusker, 77, of Wareham, died July 3, 2021. at home. He was the husband of Marie D. (Manson) McCusker. They were married for 57 years. He was the son of the late William D. and Catherine M. (Duffy) McCusker.

He was born in Boston and lived in Roxbury and Plymouth before moving to Wareham. He graduated from Boston Trade High School.

Mr. McCusker worked as an Animal Control Officer for the Town of Plymouth for many years before retiring.

He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 63 Onset Marion. 

Survivors include his wife, Marie D. (Manson) McCusker; a son, David G. McCusker of Carver; 2 grandchildren David G. McCusker, Jr. of Hamden, CT and Rien K. McCusker of New Bedford; a great grandson, Cullen Q. McCusker; his siblings, Daniel McCusker of CA, Dennis McCusker of Alaska, Paul McCusker of TX, Kathleen McCusker of Brockton and Michael McCusker of Dorchester. He was the father of the late William D. “Billy” McCusker and Matthew D. “Matt” McCusker.
