Wareham students rank in top 10 at Upper Cape
Two Wareham students placed in the top 10 graduating students at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School this year.
Carpentry program student Mary King was No. 5 in the Upper Cape graduating class this year. As a high school student, she was a three-sport athlete, competing in basketball, lacrosse and soccer. King earned the 2026 RAM Award for an Upper Cape student athlete and the schools Top Shop Award in carpentry.
After graduation, King plans to enter the workforce full time.
Information Technology student William Gouveia ranked No. 6 in this year's graduating class. According to Upper Cape, Gouveia took classes for college credit while in high school and attained multiple IT certifications. Gouveia received the National School Development Council Award for academic growth and student leadership.
While in high school, Gouveia did a co-op with IT support and computer repair servicer Marion Computers. Gouveia plans to continue working with Marion Computers after graduation while attending Cape Cod Community College.
