In light of the hardships brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, The Wareham Police Association has decided to award scholarships to all students who submitted applications by the April 30 deadline.

A representative from the association said that “with the high school seniors’ year being cut short and unable to enjoy their final year of high school along with parents being laid off from work” the association chose to award scholarships to all 16 of the following students: 

Abigale Berriault, Stephen Caldarola, Grace Cerrato, Jarrett Fernandes, Mollie Johnson, Julianne Matthews, Natalia Moulding, Lukas Watkins, and Erik Zine of Wareham High School; Justin Smith and Jack Gerard of Old Rochester Regional High School; Gavin Smith, and Analise Rogers of Bourne High School; Danielle Ansell of Upper Cape Vocational Technical School; and Marissa Johnson and Alexandrea Gerard (schools unlisted.)
