Walk for Hunger hopes to raise funds

Jun 16, 2020

The 11th Annual Greater Wareham Walk for Hunger, scheduled for May 3, has been cancelled for this year due to the restrictions on large gatherings. The walk raises money for Project Bread, a non-profit dedicated to ending hunger in Massachusetts, and 60 percent of funds raised by the walk come back to Wareham.

Although the walk won’t happen this year, the Wareham Walk for Hunger team is still working to raise funds. Sixty percent of donations made through a link to Project Bread on goodshepherdwareham.org before June 30 will come back to feed the hungry in Wareham.

Organizers thank the public for their support. For more information, contact Pastor Dan Bernier at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 508-295-2840 or pastor.dan.bernier@gmail.com.
