Virginia G. Brackman, 101, of Wareham, died Thursday, Jan.24 at Hathaway Manor in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late William L. Brackman, Sr.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (O’Connell) Hickey.  She was a homemaker.

She was the mother of the late William L. Brackman, Jr. and Patricia Moser. She is survived by her grandchildren, Andrea Lopes and her husband Justin Lopes, Sr., Stacey Moser and Fallon Moser all of Wareham; four great grandchildren; her nephew, John Smyth, and several other great nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, the late John Hickey, Albert Hickey, Dorothy Brennan, and Grace Smyth.

A longtime resident of Hathaway Manor, she was known as “Nana” to everyone there.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 4 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne at 11:15 a.m.  Please arrive at the cemetery by 11 a.m.
