Unknown liquid found non-hazardous at Police Station

Mar 1, 2020

The Hazardous Materials team was called to the Wareham Police Station at about 5 p.m. on Sunday after a resident brought a bottle of an unknown liquid to the station.

The bottle was found at the resident’s home, and appeared to be distorted from heat.

Sergeant Kevin Reilly told the individual to put the bottle outside the station, secured the area, and called the Wareham Fire Department.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Hazardous Materials Team responded as did the State Police Clandestine Lab Enforcement unit.

The liquid was determined to be non-hazardous.
