Turning Point receives $2,250 in donations

Dec 8, 2018

The Point Independence Yacht Club presented Turning Point with a $2,000 donation on Dec. 7 to help Wareham families in need this December.

Turning Point, a Wareham-based nonprofit, provides supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in the community. Turning Point also helps to collect gifts for children in need each holiday season.

The money donated was raised from the Yacht Club's 22nd annual Grand Slam Fishing Tournament.

Eastern Bank Manager Rose Berry also presented Turning Point with a check for $250, which was raised by the Wareham Business Networking International Group and a private donator.

Berry donated the money in her name to Turning Point at her retirement party held on Dec. 5.
