TSGT James R. “Jim” Simpson (USAF Ret.) of Colorado Springs, passed away quietly under the care of Pikes Peak Hospice on November 15, 2018.

Jim was born to Wilda and “Ray” Simpson in Natoma, KS and had 3 brothers.  All passed before him.

Jim honorably served in the U.S. Air Force where he met and married Helen Krystofolski while stationed at OTIS Air Force Base in Bourne. They were married 63 ½ years, traveled the world, and raised 3 children.

Upon retirement, he became a fireman at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He enjoyed visiting and joking with everyone he met.

Jim will be deeply missed by many friends and his family; son, James R. Simpson, Jr. (Tammy); daughters, Patty Simpson, Mary Gibbs; Grandson, Miah Gibbs (Jennifer); brother in-law, Robert Krystofolski (Rosemary); and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tihonet Rd., Wareham at 11 AM.
