The Planning Board approved a plan for ten new housing lots on Charlotte Furnace Road at their Monday night meeting.

The board met virtually for the first time since early March.

The plan includes open space and an easement allowing access to a solar farm behind the homes.

The new lots are on the section of Charlotte Furnace Road across from Cataumet Way, where Wareham Girls Softball plays, and are set to be developed by Sarajon Realty.

The homes will be set back 50 feet from the road, and the ten homes will be reached by five shared driveways that split in order to allow residents to avoid backing onto the busy West Wareham road.
