From July 17 to July 31, a new StoryWalk is available at the Douglas S. Westgate Conservation Area (located at 29 Papermill Rd. in West Wareham). 

Families can follow along with the children’s book “Up in the Garden & Down in the Dirt” and explore the plants and animals that make up the rich, interconnected ecosystem of a garden.

The book was described as, “Up in the garden, the world is full of green- leaves and sprouts, growing vegetables, ripening fruit. But down in the dirt there is a busy world of earthworms digging, snakes hunting, skunks burrowing, and all the other animals that make a garden their home.”

This StoryWalk was funded by the Wareham Cultural Council.
