The Board of Selectmen previewed the warrant for the Special Town Meeting at its March 19 meeting.

The Special Town Meeting, as approved by Selectmen on March 12, will follow the regular Spring Town at 7:30 p.m. on April 22 in the High School auditorium at 7 Viking Drive.

Warrant articles include budget transfers as approved in the Spring 2018 Town Meeting, funding for the Spring 2019 Capital Plan, and funding for four new affordable senior housing units at the Agawam Village.

Voters will also get to weigh in on establishing a Municipal Facilities Stabilization Fund, which would be automatically funded with 25 percent of all marijuana revenues and fees. The fund would first be used for a new police station before becoming a general facilities fund.

The Board will hear comments on these articles, as well as citizens petitions, at its March 26 meeting.
