Ronald R. Baker, 82, of Wareham passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Sippican Health Care Center in Marion. He was the husband of the late Joan (Gallagher) Baker.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Morton and Frances M. Baker. A previous resident of Hull, he moved to Wareham in 1978. Mr. Baker worked in the facilities department at the Cape Cod Times for many years. After his retirement, he worked at the CMWWDD landfill.
Mr. Baker was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed boating and fishing.
Survivors include his two daughters, Joyce Bacchiocchi and her husband Kevin of Wareham and Denise Baker of Reading; and his son, Michael Baker and his wife Jacquelyn of Concord, CA. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Andrew, Emily and Allison.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends may gather at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Thursday at 10 AM to form the procession to the cemetery.
