Ronald C. Hunter, 70, of East Wareham, died Jan. 31, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Joanne M. (Melski) Hunter and the son of the late Donald F. and Florence (Harju) Hunter. 

He was born in Wareham and lived there his whole life. He graduated from Wareham High School and attended Cape Cod Community College.

Mr. Hunter worked as a handyman in the area for many years. He worked at Lindsey’s Restaurant and Zeady’s Restaurant.

He was a “Jack of All Trades” and could fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Joanne M. (Melski) Hunter; a daughter, Heather A. Hunter of East Wareham; a son, Christopher C. Hunter of East Wareham; a grandson, Joshua A. Hamblin, Jr.; 2 sisters, Kristine Sue Hunter and Diane Hunter both of CA; many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was the brother of the late Esther Jacobs.

A celebration of his life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 in the Redmen Hall, 786 Main St., West Wareham. 

Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
