Robert (Rob) Stendzis, 52, of West Wareham passed away at Boston Medical Center on July 29, 2020. Survived by the love of his life Denise Tripp, son Robert Stendzis Jr., father Imants Stendzis, siblings Angel Stendzis, Jessie Samone and Richard Morias. Nephew of John and Pearl Stendzis, cousin of Tanya and Little John, beloved uncle of 13  nieces and nephews. Rob is predeceased by his mother Dawne Ledoux, sister Mary Sances and niece Krystal Stendzis. 

Rob is a lifetime resident of Onset and Wareham. He graduated Upper Cape Tech with a degree in Marine Mechanics. His family (Stendzis) as far back as they can trace have all been fisherman. Rob at the age of 19 made his first trip out of New Bedford on a commercial fishing boat. For the last 33 years he was blessed with a job that he loved and, for 30 years, was blessed with the women of his dreams. Rob is officially on his final voyage. He always said when a fisherman dies, they become a seagull. We will forever be looking at seagulls in a different light. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
