Robert G. Beattie Jr., “Bobby”, 77, of Wareham, formerly of Boston, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Wareham Healthcare. Robert was the son of the late Robert G. Sr. and Catherine (Gilmore) Beattie. He grew up in the Mission Hill area of Boston and worked for many years as a maintenance man in the healthcare industry. Robert also worked for the Boston Police Department Stable as a Hostler. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed walking along the Cape Cod Canal and Onset Pier.

He was the father of David Beattie, Robert Beattie and Sandra “Dolly” Beattie all of Massachusetts. He was the husband of Sandra (Gear) Beattie and the brother of Richard Beattie of Holbrook, Catherine “Penny” Ellis of Wareham and Ronald Beattie of California. He was also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
