Recent arrests

Wareham Police have made a number of arrests in recent weeks.

On Sunday, Oct. 13, at around 8:55 p.m. Officers Christopher Corner and James White arrested Jared Hamblin, 52, of East Bridgewater for shoplifting at Walmart.

On Monday, Oct. 14, Officers Larue and Michael Phinney arrested Jody Urbati, 57, of East Wareham at around 8:46 p.m. for operating under the influence and marked lanes violation. The arrest follows a motor vehicle stop on Onset Avenue.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, a woman from Wareham was summoned to court for shoplifting following an incident at the Ocean State Job Lot. She fled the scene before Officer Lorenzo Grosso and Christopher Corner arrived but they recognized her on video and are currently investigating the incident.

Another person, a 55-year-old Middleboro resident, will be summoned to court for shoplifting following an incident at Walmart. Officers Eric Machado and Nate Aronson investigated the incident.

On Friday, Oct. 18, Sgt. Daniel Henderson and Officer Scott Cowan took three people into custody at around 12:48 a.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Hathaway Street.

Kelliegh Adams, 26, of Wareham, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, possessing an open container of liquor in an auto, and marked lanes violation. Stephen Ballem, 55, of Middleboro was arrested on a warrant, and the third male was placed into protective custody.

At 2:05 p.m. the same day, Officer Peter Silvia summoned to court a Wareham resident for operating after suspension.

At 5:34 p.m. Officers Michael Phinney and James White summoned to court a 59-year-old female from Plympton for credit card fraud under $1,200.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, at around 12:51 p.m. Officer Charles Pillsbury arrested Mariann Downey, 34, of Onset in the parking lot of Tractor Supply for trafficking in Fentanyl.

On Monday, Oct. 21, at around 1:28 a.m. Officer Lorenzo Grosso arrested Jeffrey Agee, 35, of West Wareham for operating after suspension.

At around 10:50 p.m. Officers Nate Aronson and Jennifer Braley arrested Tyler Gallus, 21, of Wareham following an accident on Main Street in which Gallus struck the Legacy Insurance building. Gallus was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and marked lanes violation.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, at around 5:25 p.m. Officer Eric Machado arrested Eric Bedard, 41, of East Wareham for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance in the parking lot of BB’s restaurant.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, at around 12:36 a.m. Officers Robert McLain and Kyle Gomes arrested Ron Goodrich, 25, of Wareham and charged him with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, following a reported fight in the parking lot of the Cranberry Manor apartments.
