Wareham Police have made a number of arrests in recent weeks. 

On Thursday, September 26, Officers Eric Machado and Jennifer Braley arrested Anthony Mascarello, 65, of Wareham following a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Woods at Wareham complex. Mascarello was arrested for operating under the influence.

On Friday, September 27, Officer Aaron Pacheco arrested Jillian Throckmorton, 29, of Buzzards Bay, for shoplifting at the Dollar General store.

At midnight on Sunday, September 29, Officers Calib Larue and Ryan Gomes arrested Robert V. Sullivan, 51, of North Falmouth, on Cranberry Highway for operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, and failure to stop at a stop sign.

At 12:30 p.m. on the same day, Officer Blaise Lalli arrested Rita Desmond, 56, of East Falmouth, for assault and battery on a person over 60. Police took Desmond into custody on Cranberry Highway at Red Brook Road, after an earlier disturbance on Sean Circle. In addition to the assault, Desmond had two active warrants.

Later at 8:18 p.m. Officer Pacheco and Detective Dean Decas arrested Ellora Trottier, 23, of Sandwich, for shoplifting at Walmart.

On Thursday, October 3, Officers Matthew Donovan and Stephen Harrison arrested James Bruce, 74, of Wareham, following a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway. Bruce was charged with operating under the influence, marked lanes violation, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

On Monday, October 7, at 9:48 a.m., Juvenile Detective Karl Baptiste arrested Rory Barrows Jr., 20, of New Bedford, near the High School on Viking Drive. Barrows was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class “B” drug and possession with intent to distribute near a school. Upon investigation, Detective found crack cocaine on the suspect.

At 11:10 a.m. on the same day, Officer Calib Larue arrested Betty Ann Casey, 48, of Wareham, on Cranberry Highway following a motor vehicle stop. Casey was charged with operating after suspension, subsequent offense and marked lanes violation.

At  9:22 p.m. Officers Michael Phinney and Charles Pillsbury arrested Dawn Barboza, 53, of West Wareham, for shoplifting at Stop and Shop. She also had four active warrants. 

At 10:12 p.m., A Plymouth male was placed under arrest as part of a confidential investigation. Officers Blaise Lalli and Joseph Cardoza were the arresting officers.
