Wareham Police recovered a construction trailer along with about $17,000 worth of construction equipment that were stolen from a job site on Charlotte Furnace Road in West Wareham.

The owner of the trailer reported to police at about 6 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, that Middleboro Police had found his stolen trailer in the middle of Beach Street in Middleboro. The owner said that many items, including ladders, power tools, hand tools, a compressor, and staging equipment, were missing from the trailer.

Wareham detectives launched an investigation, and at about 1 p.m., went to an address in West Wareham where they had heard the stolen property might be. After observing some of the items on the property, detectives obtained a search warrant for the location.

Police executed a search warrant at 2296 Cranberry Highway and were able to recover most of the items stolen from the trailer.
So far, police have filed charges against five people. Those people have not yet been named as the case is still open and active and more criminal complaints may be filed.

Police note that on Jan. 6, Middleboro and Wareham police recovered two jet-skis and a trailer stolen from Middleboro at the same location.
