Police raid homes, arrest two in drug investigation

As part of an investigation into illegal drug sales, Wareham police raided three homes, and arrested two men on Wednesday, March 25.

Police raided homes at 298 Onset Avenue, 353 Onset Avenue, Apartment 2, and 9 Midway Street, resulting in the arrest of Thomas Gomes, 33, of Middleboro, and Eric Crumbley, 32, of Wareham.

During the raids, police seized $46,000 in cash from 353 Onset Avenue, as well as five cell phones and a digital scale. At the Midway Street home, detectives seized a firearm, and suspected cocaine.

Both men were charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws,  and possession of a firearm without a license. Crumbley was charged with illegal drug possession, while Gomes was charged with possession with intent to distribute. 

According to police, Gomes had over $2,300 in cash and multiple cell phones on him when he was arrested. 

Wareham Police were assisted by multiple other agencies during the raids, and homes in Fall River, Taunton, and Middleboro were also raided on March 25.
