November events at the Wareham Council on Aging
The Wareham Council on Aging has announced several events for November. All events take place at the Multi-Service Center, located at 48 Marion Road, unless noted otherwise.
Nov. 12
Free hearing screenings will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon. No appointment necessary.
Nov. 13
The monthly craft program begins at 1 p.m. in the Cranberry Café at the Council on Aging. To reserve a spot, call 508-291-3130.
Nov. 15
A program on safety offered by Plymouth County TRIAD will be at the Council on Aging community room at noon.
TRIAD is a national community policing program focused on crime-safety needs of seniors. Attendees will learn how to protect themselves against crimes often associated with the elderly.
The monthly movie held at 1 p.m. in the Council on Aging office. November’s movie will be the “The Greatest Show on Earth.”
Nov. 21
A shopping trip to Market Basket will be offered. The cost is $1.25 each way, or a free pass may be used. Reserve a spot by calling 508-759-8900.
Nov. 26
A fashion show will be held at 11:30 a.m. with a lunch after. The Gallery Consignment of Main Street in Wareham will present its latest fashions. Make reservations by caling 508-291-3100 ext. 6514. A donation of $2.50 is suggested.
