Minot students bring Christmas vibes

Dec 20, 2019

Under the direction of chorus teacher Russ Hart, seventeen Minot Forest fourth-graders filled the Multiservice Center with Christmas music on Wednesday.

This small but joyful recital served as a preview for the upcoming Minot Band and Chorus Concert, which will take place on the night of Jan. 22 at Wareham High School. There, young singers will be accompanied by live instruments.

“The students did a really nice job, they are looking forward to performing on a big stage at high school,” said Hart, who has been teaching chorus at Wareham Public Schools for 16 years.

The students sang some of the best-known holiday hits such as "Jingle Bells," “Winter in America,” and “Here comes the snow.” They have been regularly practicing since the end of September and are ready for the concert on Jan. 22.

“Every year it’s a different group, a different approach and it’s fun to see them grow from day one to the end,” said Hart. It’s fun.”
