Mentorship program seeks volunteers

Aug 24, 2021

Interested in mentoring a Wareham High School student? Community Youth Empowerment’s new mentorship program, Level-Up Initiative, is seeking volunteers.

The high school and CYE have teamed up to develop the mentorship program ahead of the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. In light of this new program, the school and CYE “are searching for dedicated and motivated mentors who want to uplift high-risk young adults entering high school,” according to a Wareham High School press release. “Many of the students we are aiming to help are subjected to extremely difficult circumstances that affect their personal life and academic performance.”

Mentors will be encouraged to provide guidance, motivation and emotional support. Mentors will help students explore careers, set new goals, develop contacts and identify resources with their mentees. Training will be provided for mentors.

To become a mentor please contact: Jowaun Gamble, jgamblecye@gmail.com.
