Mary Jane Burke, 84, of Bourne, passed peacefully at her home on April 3, 2021. She was the widow of the late Owen Burke of Wareham.

“MJ,” as she was known by her friends and colleagues, was born in Wareham and lived in Florida and Massachusetts during her lifetime.

Mary Jane was a long-time administrator and educator in the Wareham School System. She retired from her long and distinguished career in education as the Principal of Wareham High School.

She enjoyed cooking, travel and following every game of her beloved Boston Red Sox.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Parisi and his wife Joan of South Windsor, CT. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was laid to rest with her husband Owen at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on April 21, 2021.
