Marion man arrested after Wareham accident

Jan 14, 2021

A Marion man has been arrested on charges after allegedly rear-ending another car at the Route 28/Route 195 overpass while intoxicated.

Officers responded to the area just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, and saw that one car had rear-ended another at the traffic light. One person endured non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Officers thought that one of the drivers — Charles Davis, 53, of Marion — appeared to be “under the influence and impaired.”

Davis was arrested and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, following a vehicle closer than is reasonable, operating under the influence (second offense), and possession of an open container in a vehicle.
