Each month, Wareham Schools recognize excellent students.

At the Middle School, Isaac Lang is the fifth grader of the month.

“He is noticed for his willingness to work hard and treat others kindly,” said one teacher. “He is very sensitive to the needs of others and makes everyone feel welcome.”

Teachers described Isaac as polite and hard-working.

“He is very creative and puts his full effort into his classwork,” another said.

Amber Besse is the sixth grader of the month.

“She has an internal drive to improve herself constantly,” said one teacher. “A reflective student, she thinks about her actions, future, and how she can be better.”

Besse was described as a hard worker and dedicated student.

“Amber always volunteers to help others when needed, and never stops trying to improve her playing in band,” said one teacher. 

Kaylin Sylvia is the seventh grader of the month.

“She is an inquisitive learner who always asks great questions and is determined to always do her best,” one teacher wrote. “She is truly a role model for all of us.”

Teachers praised her positive attitude and fun personality.

“Kaylin is funny, charismatic, hard working and positive,” said another teacher. “I truly look forward to seeing her in each and every class.”

At the High School, senior Luis Roman is the student of the month. Junior Xavier Hendricks was named the Scotty Award Winner.
